Too Long Between Post
Gosh! It's been a while since I posted on this blog.
Thought about it but just didn't get around to it. Been posting often about the Christmas season on my other blog: Inspiration Pathways
Do you forget to post? What about material to post about? Can't find any?
Not guilty of any of the above - I didn't forget - I just didn't do it.
I collect material to write daily, so that is not the problem.
The problem: I just didn't take the time. What a lousy reason or excuse. I don't know which.
This is one time that I will say, "Don't do as I do." If you want to get your name out on the internet and brand yourself, not posting on your blog is like trying to swim uphill on ice. It doesn't work. Blog post need to be done often but at least, at the minimum once a week. Of course, this is along with your other plans for branding yourself.
If you have writers block, do as I do, collect stuff that interest you and that you can later write about. This makes it much easier to come up with something that will interest your readers.
Where to find interesting stuff to write about:
1. Newsletters - that is good, information filled newsletters.
2. News channels - look around the internet and find something that will be of interest.
3. Other blogs/websites

You Are What You Practice
I started to use this video on my Elaine's Vision blog but after watching it several times I changed my mind. For some reason the idea of "practicing what you want" kept bombarding my mind with the idea that it fits so well into the realm of finances and business.
Yes, it certainly fits our total life but my thoughts kept tangling me up in the business arena.
So many of us have dreams of being better off financially. I can see you saying and thinking, "Has Elaine lost her mind, of course, I want to be better off financially." "So, what's new about that idea." NOTHING...
What's new is - What are you practicing?
If you continue to practice not having enough money to be free then that is where you will stay. It entails changing what you are practicing so you can and will get to where you desire to be. This takes mental action and physical action. Practice is acting the part of what you want not where you are now.
As with anything in life whether it be personal, job or your own business it takes practice to be better. An athlete doesn't rise to the top of his profession by sitting on the sidelines watching the show. He has to get up off his backside and practice with earnest over and over again until he is the best at what he does. He has to practice to reach his full potential. Not until then will he succeed.
The same is true in business. You have to practice, test yourself and keep going until you reach the level of financial freedom that you want. That's right, you have to practice being a great business person before you can reach that level.
If you desire a change in your life and business you have to practice. You have to improve your weaknesses - make them strong enough to propel you forward.
If you and I think honestly and take a long hard look at our weaknesses we will come up with a long list. Write down your weaknesses, take one at a time and practice eliminating one at a time from your list. There is no time limit other than your own but the faster you destroy your weaknesses the faster you become free of them.
But what about being better at my business, you may ask. How in the world do I practice being better in my business. Understand something: your personal practices and business practices are interwoven. You can't separate the two like they are two separate entities that have no connection. As you practice getting better at one, you will automatically see a change in the other.
See you on the practice field...

Don't Lose Your Hope!
HOPE is one of our most precious life-saving thoughts. We have to keep hold of our hope. It means the difference between existing and surviving in today's world of stress and the unknown.
Have you ever lost your hope? As George Weinberg states, "Hope never abandons you; you abandon it." I think this is so very true but sometimes we just feel like everything is going against us so we lose our hope for anything better to happen.
Hope that you could find a job?
Hope that you didn't lose your job?
Hope that you will be able to finish school and get a job?
Hope that you have enough money to pay your bills?
Hope that you have enough money to eat?
Hope that you don't fail in your home business?
Hope that you have enough money to feed your family?
Hope that you have enough money to retire with?
These are very basic, down-to earth hopes that we all have at some time or some point in our life. Today, most of us have these hopes.
Maybe we don't consider some of our thinking as having hope so let's see what the definition of hope is:
Hope is a belief in a positive outcome related to events and circumstances in one's life. The feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best. To look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence. To believe, desire, or trust.
“Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that? ~~ Author Unknown
I watched a video today that Scott Stratten sent out to his subscribers and in it he talks about some of his most gut-wrenching life ordeals and how he got through them. He kept living life by continually telling himself to 'keep going - don't stop.'
"Keep Going - Don't Stop" This takes a wealth of hope.
Interesting way to live your life and I totally agree with him on this. I do this same thing - when things in my life seem to be falling down around me like an avalanche rolling down a mountain - I just keep going. This is the way to get through tough times when everything seems to be going against you. It fits so well in today's turmoil of the unknown.
Do you realize just have much hope you have to have within you to live this way? Actually, not much. It is already there! You just have to keep going, knowing and believing that life will get better.
It also is a tremendous help to you at times to just STOP! Stop going! Think! Test yourself to see where you are in your life. What your life is all about.
Sometimes you have to stop to realize where you are going...
This doesn't mean that you have lost hope. It just means that you have enough hope to stop and evaluate where you are in your life and where you want to be. Hope plays a big part in this evaluation. For without hope there would be no reason to consider how or where your life is.
This is hope:
“We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” ~~ Oscar Wilde
Hope requires and demands that we keep going and don't stop except to rest and evaluate!
I hope you realize that HOPE requires action...
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain." ~~ Hebrews 6:19

Be Sure Before You Quit
Is It Time For You To Move On?
Here is some of the best advice that I have seen concerning quitting MLM, direct marketing, network marketing; which ever name you want to call it.
I have to agree with Eric: never quit this industry, just change companies, if you must.
